Tentsmuir comprises a network of forest trails amongst tall trees, open sand dunes and coastal grassland. It’s also one of Scotland’s National Nature Reserves.
In the Second World War, Tentsmuir was part of a long line of defences along Scotland’s east coast. Polish troops built hundreds of concrete blocks as an anti-tank barrier. There is an ice house, just off the map, dated 1794, used to keep recently landed salmon fresh.
Start times will be between 11:30am and 1pm.
Final details of how to find us and what to expect will be sent out on Tues/Weds before the event.
Start/Finish: Taped route from assembly. Allow 20 mins walk along the Fife Coastal Path to the NW corner of Tentsmuir Forest. Cyclable.
